Abby Tyler is the lucky recipient of the 2007 Mission Makeover! She was revealed Saturday night July 21st at our "Denim & Diamonds" Concert and Reveal where Cook and Glenn played a concert and great food was enjoyed and prize items were won during a silent auction. We raised alot of money that night for our charities, The Decatur General Foundation and Habitat for Humanity! More info and more photos of Abby to come! So, i'm really excited that we have this new charity event in Decatur that will allow more people to take part in giving back to their community. The purpose of Mission Makeover is to give back to the community as well as help individuals feel better about themselves. We chose a Demin and Diamonds theme this year, so that more people would feel comfortable participating without the pressure of Black Tie attire. So if you have always wanted to give, but have never been sure where to start. This a great opportunity for you. Throw on some jeans and come out to hear the amazing duo of Cook and Glenn perform. There will be food and drinks and of course a Silent Action ( a great way to 'give' and 'get' at the same time)

I Saw "her!"

Hello everyone! I was busy finishing up my day with my scheduled patients on Thursday, when one of my Team Members said they "needed me" in Treatment Suite #3? I knew I did not have a patient scheduled in that room and was very curious. I walked in to see my friend and fellow Mission:Makeover Team member Glenn Mitchell from Red Jasper Spa and Salon. She was grinning from ear to ear, so I KNEW she didn't have an appointment with me! I looked over and there was this amazing looking woman also grinning at me. I thought there was something familiar about her and when I looked at her smile, I recognized my own dentistry, BUT is was in a NEW FACE!!! It was our very own Mission:Makeover Winner with her finishing touches in place - a GREAT new hairdo and knockout, natural makeup! She stood taller and had this confidence about her that I KNEW was there inside and now she "matched it" on the outside! All I can say is "WOW"! This is what this effort has always been about . . . the COLLECTIVE efforts of a group of very talented people! Thursday I was privileged to see the cumulative efforts of this talented Mission:Makeover Team! EVERYONE will want to meet this special person and talk with her at the Denim and Diamonds Reveal Concert! WAY TO GO TEAM! and to our winner . . . YOU LOOK MAAAAAVELOUS!!! You will soon find out! She is our 2006-2007 Mission Makeover candidate who has been made over by the hands of very generous doctors and a talented stylist. All this has been done out of the kindness of the givers' hearts to this lucky lady as well as to two lucky charities. They are the Decatur General Foundation and Habitat for Humanity.
